Continue On Saturdays Writing Prompt
The gist of it is simple. I give you the start of a line/story and you continue on. This week:
My doctor tells me my anger stems from my childhood. I tell her she is full of shit… often. I seldom think of my childhood, whether it be good or bad or anything in between. I consider myself — Kate Muldoon — a here and now woman of the world. For me childhood was a stepping stone of learning to walk and talk; everything else is insignificant. And in my job as a crime reporter I only deal in the facts. My doctor would like me to get beyond the facts which is why she is making me keep this journal for the next six months. If I don’t keep it I can’t go back to work — that is the arrangement anyway. She promises that whatever I say in this journal will not be used against me… did I mention I think my doctor is full of shit?
