Becky Barnes is a size 22 (UK) and keeps super busy working as a Social Media Manager for SLiNK Boutique, a Business Director at Made By, and a full time student. And I can’t leave out the full-life work of being a mum and wife. Somewhere in the 24 hours she has available in a day she manages a popular plus size fashion blog with a United Kingdom following.
What is your greatest concern about online shopping?
I’m quite easy going when it comes to online shopping, I enjoy it and find, as a busy working mum, it’s the easiest and quickest option when it comes to clothes shopping. I guess, my concern would be sizing issues, but I can always send the item back, no problems!
What is your greatest concern about shopping locally?
Lack of choice. Despite the fact I live in a large town, my choices are still fairly limited and should I go above a size 22 they become very limited.
What is your favorite store to shop locally?
I really love George at Asda, which is a UK supermarket owned by Walmart. I love the choice, fun, fast fashion choices and excellent price point.
What are your top three online stores to shop?
ASOS Curve — They never fail to please. On trend pieces at great prices.
SLiNK Boutique — Okay, so I might be biased because I work for them, but they take so much time and effort to source really gorgeous designer pieces that all too often are sorely missing in plus size.
Simply Be — I’ve been a long time fan of Simply Be and at my largest when I was a size 32 they made me feel great about myself because I could still access fashionable, fun clothing in my size.
Your shopping weakness?
Oh, erm, everything?! I do especially love huge statement jewellery and shoes though.
Fave color:
I really don’t have one, I love all colours when it comes to clothing, anything goes!
Fave trend:
I’m loving the whole crop top maxi skirt trend at the moment, it’s so cute and chic.
Three things your blog readers might not know about you are:
- I used to be a professional singer and have sung in bands and as a solo artist.
- My favourite place in the whole world is Turkey.
- I’m allergic to real Christmas trees, they bring me out in a rash!
