The Chenille Sweater

It is soft. It is luxurious. And it is surprisingly affordable. Ulla Popken seems to be bringing back chenille. I find chenille can either be hit or miss. I have had ones that I loved literally to bits and some that just gathered dust in my closet. As I was typing this I remembered a sapphire blue v-neck chenille sweater that I have packed away somewhere — obviously a favorite — I will have to dig it back out. But back to Ulla Popken, here are a few of my favorite chenille sweater picks from their plus size sweater collection (which I hope will get a bit bigger as the season goes on). Chenille is not just for girly scarves and gloves it works great made into a pullover or as a cardigan.
Plus Size Chenille Sweaters from Ulla Popken
All three sweaters are machine washable and come in three to four color choices. Clockwise:

  • V-neck Chenille Sweater, $59
  • Shawl Collar Chenille Jacket, $74
  • Waterfall Neck Chenille Sweater, $59

Casual chenille sweaters are one of those everyday comforts of home pieces that make you feel babied. Do you have any chenille sweaters buried in your closet?.

  • Union Jack Tops

Having the Olympics in London has made the Union Jack a little trendier than usual, even now that the games are overs. I have always liked it on tees and messengers bags. Of course you can get a simple version at Yours Clothing: But Lane Bryant also has a cute one I like (and a…

  • Red Lace

With the belt or without, this fully lined Red Lace top is eye catching. It looks cute with the cuffed shorts shorts Igigi paired with them but I think the black wide legged pants or a black pencil skirt is a must (even grey would be nice). The elastic raglan sleeves offer coverage and add…

    New at Evans

The fall season is my favorite time of the year. It’s when there seems to be the most options for clothing and the temperatures encourage us to wear more of them. This week is definitely the week for new arrivals. Over the pond Evans they introduced their fall line in a snazzy fashion magazine type…

Thankfully this one has more Edward (go Team Edward!) Here’s a peek at the movie: Over at Hot Topics they are having a pre-order…
