The Curvy Shopper — Jaye Gipson-Trimble
Jaye Gipson-Trimble — Curvatude
Jaye Gipson Trimble is a plus size fashion blogger with style and “curvatude”. As an entrepreneur, this size 18/20 curvy shopper has a unique view on life from Chicago, Illinois. Her five year old blog highlights her daily fashion and lifestyle sense.

What is your greatest concern about online shopping?
I love online shopping mainly because it feeds my obsessions but of course the big issue is always about fit. And nothing peeves me more than having to return things.
What is your greatest concern about shopping locally?
Here in Chicago we don’t have a lot independent plus size shops and as a blogger, I always find myself at events where the only things that fit me are accessories. And while I love my accessories, it gets a bit boring and annoying.
What is your favorite store to shop locally?
Macy’s is my go to store because I always depend on them to have my size and get a good deal.
What are your top three online stores to shop?
ASOS Curve — thrills me! One day I can do pin-up style, or rock white skinny jeans with a lace moto. It doesn’t get any better.
Eloquii — has returned with a vengeance and I love that they offer a mix of trends and modern work pieces.
Old Navy — is where I get a lot of my weekend perfect pieces. Maxi dresses, tees, etc. I love that they offer pieces that I can wear from year to year.
Your shopping weakness?
I LOVE IT ALL! Like seriously. I am an equal opportunity shopper!
Fave color:
Black, although I wear it less and less. It is my foundation color.
Fave trend:
Moto jackets. I own like ten of them, in everything from pink lace to mix media faux leather.
Three things your blog readers might not know about you are:
- I do voice impressions and I have an alternative personality named Yasenia.
- I love home decor almost more than fashion.
- I love being in my 40’s. I have always been very self defined but it has intensified 100 fold as I have aged.
Please fly by Curvatude and say, “hello!”
