Igigi Limited Collection

This week Igigi introduced a new line called the “Limited Collection” or LC. According to Igigi, it will offer “one-time only designs that are fresh, new, trendy, and reflect what is currently being featured on high-fashion runways and in high-fashion magazines.”
This means that each design will have a limited amount of pieces (something I felt Igigi already had but I guess not). They will be labelling these designs with LC so customers can spot them at a glance.
Along with the release of the LC line comes a new website look that is fresh and streamlined. One of the best features I noticed so far is the larger images. I hate the zoom feature many websites go with that only allow you to see a small section of the image at a time. The images at Igigi start off large and have a zoom feature that is also large.
One of my favorite items from the LC line is this Lucy Chiffon Top. It comes in sizes 12 to 32 for $54. I love the pattern and peek-a-boo dolman sleeves. This pieces comes with the coordinating tank to finish off the look.
Until July 13, Igigi is offering free shipping on domestic orders over $50. No coupon is necessary.

  • Ghosts of Summer

A new love tee from Threadless this week. Ghost was designed by “droopy, DRP”. Looking at this artist’s other designs it’s obvious he/she has a penchant for skulls. For me this one is a representation of our endless struggle for beauty — it’s eating us alive. In more ways than one. I think the woman…

  • Zombies in Wonderland

Of all the horror movies I watch, zombie movies are my favorite. I love zombie movies. I even have a book that zombifies Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. “Oh, the horror!” she exclaims as she hold back of hand to forehead. Threadless has had a few cool zombie tees but the new “Zombie’s in Wonderland”…

Mimi’s Corner has just become Just for Curves. A new name and a new look. Plus a whole bunch of great savings. While the selection isn’t huge it is worth taking a gander for a few deals whiles you are out and about. I found this cute Blue Swirls top that would be an excellent…

    Put on a Jacket

Do not ever be afraid to layer with a jacket. The key to avoiding bulkiness is what you put on underneath. A nice cami from Hanky Panky, a silky shell from your summer tote box, a sleeveless sheath dress, or that awesome Threadless t-shirt you picked up. Some how over the last year wearing jackets…

  • Ornamental Tiger

Just because I do not collect cat things does not mean I cannot appreciate the occasional “cat” inspired t-shirt; especially one as pretty as the Ornamental Tiger designed by Victor Calahan for Threadless. This shirt reminds me of a similar one that I bought for my husband and one of his nephews. While this one…

    Red Hot Comfort

You all know that I am the comfort queen. And I suppose you have probably figured out that next to blue, red is my other favorite color. Especially if it is deep red like this Baby Phat track suit I found at Macy’s in what they are calling “chili”. It is red hot! (I know,…
