Movie Fridays
Here is a video interview with Casey Haynes a young boy who has been bullied for many years. Within the video you will actually see clips of the boy being filmed during a recent bullying incident where he suddenly “snaps” and fights back.
Today’s movie inspires many topics for writing. Here are just a few:
- Write a fiction piece a someone being bullied — child or adult. Include day to day trials and about your own character’s trials with bullying and ultimately taking control of the situation.
- Your personal experience with bullying (giving and/or receiving).
- How bullies should be dealt with in communities, families, clicks
- To what extent should children be able to protect themselves when bullied
- The different degrees of bullying — and who decides which is worse than another.
