She’s funny, she’s witty, she has attitude, and she’s obviously intelligent. Oh, yeah, and she’s a fat girl who likes to rant. Working actress, writer and producer, Joy Nash has gained notoriety over the last year because of her YouTube video titled, A Fat Rant. With over one million hits it is safe to say this plus size cutie is a hit.
Somewhere along the way she also finds time to provide inspiration to thousands of followers. If you haven’t seen her video yet then keep scrolling, it’s down below, as well as watch her latest rant release.

Ranting Her Way into History
It seems like more and more people are becoming famous because of You Tube. Earlier this year a friend sent me a link to this video called A Fat Rant by Joy Nash. At the time it had 1300 views. The video which was written by Nash was professionally put together and flipping hilarious. Humor aside it also rammed home a few relevant points the plus size community has been trying to do for over a decade.
It’s not surprising that the video is a success. She’s been working on her acting skills for a number of years. At 26, this writer, actor, film maker and model has been busy honing her acting skills in Los Angeles, California. She has a BA from the University of Southern California (USC) in School of Theater and another BA from USC Sociolinguistics. She also put in time at the British American Dramatic Academy. Joy raised funds via Kickstarter to take her one woman play, “My Mobster” on the road.
This Dallas, Texas born native has performed on stages throughout Los Angeles as well as participated in a number of independent films. She has plans for making more films for the internet and her growing fan base can’t wait.
