Prom Dress Week – Not so Traditional

Stepping away from the traditional tulle and taffeta, a prom girl can still find the dress of her dreams. Especially if she visits plus size dress maker Igigi.
Igigi has so many beautiful dresses but for Prom I decided this one was one of my favorites. The Jewel Strapped Gown comes in sizes 12 to 32 for $275. And I think the likelihood of wearing something like this again is probably more likely than a lot of taffeta and tulle.
My favorite features? The crossover at the breast and the fabric cinching (or shirring as they call it) at the waist. I also like the allure of bare shoulders without showing off the whole arm. Not everyone likes to wear strapless.
