Wrap Yourself Up in Silk

I was researching plus size designer Peggy Lutz Plus (PLP) for some prom dresses and came across this Koi Print Kimono in the wearable art section. If you are not familiar with Koi they are usually the largish fish you see in man-made ponds at the pet store or in the large tank at Asian food restaurants. Unlike the description listed at the site koi are symbols of love and friendship. I love watching them. Although they are destroying many waterways in the world they are a calming fish.

This robe is made from “hand painted squares of silk dupionni and lined with china silk”. Currently it only comes in 14/16, probably because of the cost — $695.
