Sweater-licious at Penningtons

Fall and winter are my favorite times of year mainly because I get to wear sweaters. I’m wearing one right now — a one button shawl collar cardigan actually. It’s one of those sweaters where in hind sight I wish I had gotten three. Sweaters are the versatile top that (in most cases) works both for casual and career. Traditionally sweaters were a favorite amongst plus size women because they were good at hiding things. Thankfully, as we learn to appreciate our curves, we not only have a choice of bulky but lightweight. And while boxy is still out there if we want it there is also curve hugging. I strongly believe our closets should have a selection of both.
When I was at Penningtons this week I couldn’t get over all the great sweaters they have in this season. Especially these two versatile sweaters. The images don’t do them justice. I tried to include a close up of the stitching but they still don’t show how pretty they are.:

The first is machine wash and the second is hand wash (as if). I especially love the vest (majestic violet) which I would love to experiment with a wide belt over the button. I know I’ve been showing a lot of purple stuff over the last few months but rest assured blue is still my favorite color.
