Movie Fridays

The Dead Poet’s Society is one of my favorite movies. Its full of young actors who have made names for themselves in television and on the screen. And then there’s Robin Williams who totally goes against his comical roots. Watch the clip of this “Carpe Diem” scene and pick up on a cue to write from.

Some ideas: use one of the quotes; write about an inspiring teacher; write about a group of boys (or girls) influenced by a teacher; write about a ghost of a boy haunting the school (sorry, that one came to me while listening to Robin whisper at the end).

Have fun with it. Be as serious as this film or comical as Robin Williams on the loose.
