Updated Western

I love the updated western look. It doesn’t scream “Look at me, I’m a Daisy Duke wannabee!” It’s fresh, comfortable and pretty much wearable by anyone. All the pieces here are from Torrid and collectively cost $168. Each piece can be blended into an existing wardrobe.

I especially like this Tan Woven Feather Band Cowboy Hat ($18) because of the texture. The woven outlets give it an airy and feminine look while still providing some protection from the sun.
The Tripp Black Skinny-Leg Twill Pant ($48) is super dark, breathable and it’s almost impossible to tell they aren’t traditional plus size black jeans. They are available in sizes 12 to 28 and have a nice skinny leg that begs for some sexy boots.
The Black Faux Suede Daisy Western Boot ($52) have a comfortable heel hight and are so cute Daisy would be proud. And they’d look smashing with the black twill pant here for a monotone look or with good old worn out blue jeans.
The Scarlet Dot Jacquard Embroidered Hem Top ($38) has a lovely dot pattern for some texture and the well placed smocking helps to accentuate the waist. The black embroidery helps blend the dark lower half of this outfit. It’s an awesome color that pops and is available in sizes xl to 5x. Torrid has similar styles in other patterns.
The Silver Red Rhinestone Bow 2-Finger Ring ($12) finishes off the look. I know, not western; but I love red and I love dots and technically it works because there’s a bow on the top.
