Eliza Parker Plus Sizes

Eliza Parker is a new plus size company out of San Francisco founded by Jessica Tenaglia. The current focus is plus sized dresses, tops, skirts and accessories. At the moment their fashions are being displayed on the curves of plus size model Fluvia Lacerda who is often seen on the pages of Igigi.
The “career” and “cocktail” clothing are available in sizes 10 to 28 and are in the med-high end price range. My favorite look from the Eliza Parker collection is the Million Ways Wrap in Magenta ($88) and the Pencil Skirt ($98).
At the moment the Eliza Parker website is in beta and entry is by invitation only; but don’t worry you can get an invitation by visiting the website and asking for one through their handy form (name/email). You’ll get a bonus discount coupon if you sign up to test before the June 21, 2010.
A big thanks to LoveNati for putting me on to this new designer!

Threadless (surprised, really? the title has “tees” in it, of course I am going to talk about Threadless) has some great Halloween-esque tees. One of my favorite plus size clothing designers (Kiyonna) has just introduced a new line called Island Fever. This week I’m going to feature my top five items from the line. • $12 Tees

I have not talked about Threadless in awhile. A few weeks at least. Their current $12 tees sale (until December 26th) seems like a good time to share some of my latest favorites with you. As you can see they seem to be animal related but there are tees for the sci-fy buffs, the strange,…

Making It Big invites you to make friends with Lily, Natalia, Marnie, Panache, and Edith. No, they are not cool chics with quick wit, they are the names of their cool summer blouses that offer simple style and comfort for the hot days ahead. And they just happen to be five of my favorite plus…

    Red Elegance

Swak Designs is a little online shop that offers plus size clothing, many in extended sizes. They are fairly new and somewhat trendy. They don’t have a huge assortment of items to choose from but they do have some exceptional pieces like this Red Elegance top with a crossover v-neck and asymmetrical hemline. I couldn’t…

  • Colorblock Tank Dress

I love summer dresses but I find so many of them tend to be patterned. No, I have nothing against the right pattern. Color blocked dresses, plus size or otherwise, like this one from Ulla Popken give the eye a break from the busy visual stimulation that a repetitive all over pattern tends to lend….

  1. I just had the chance to gain access to the private beta launch a couple of days ago and truly love this new designer! Cannot wait to see more from them.

  2. I am returning the Greenwich dress ordered 28 June 2010.
The fit is okay–on target for 18/20– but the finish is not at all what I expected for the price. It looks like a maid’s uniform and the fabric is substantially thinner than anticipated as well.
I would not pay more than $40 for this dress as it is currently made. To reach anywhere near the $179 mark, it would need to be made of more substantial (not blouse-weight) material, have much better seams, a more generous hem and upgraded buttons. A self belt would be a nice touch, as well, since there is a waist seam.
Thanks and good luck with your company.
