Fall for Uggs

I know it’s early (and two shoe posts in one week, wth) for most of us to start thinking about warm boots with all this humidity but UGG Australia has a new line of fall Uggs ready to keep us warm when the need arrives. Out of the twenty-nine or so styles they have available in Nordstrom’s trunk sale theses beauties are my faves. Two I would wear out and about and one I’d wear around the house (in the winter ladies!).

There seems to be two groups when it comes to Uggs, those who absolutely abhor them and those who absolutely love them. I would definitely not turn them down — I do live in the north after all. But for the most part, like the plaid ones, you have to wonder what they were thinking. So which group are you in?

  • Gold Sandals

I’m going through a gold sandal phase; meaning I really like them. Including these Dafny “spice gold” sandals by Naturalizer. The heel has a nice height without being over the top, it has a full strap for added support, and it looks like it has the same sole design other shoes I’ve gotten from Naturalizer have…

  • How Wicked are You

You have got to love a shoe called “Wicked”. These hidden platform shoes immediately caught my eye with their unique shape and 4 3/4″ heels. They were designed by Type Z and are available at Zappos for $69 in sizes 5 to 10. You can drag them out at Halloween, Christmas (oh, Mrs Claus!), and…

  • A Marc Jacobs Spring

Is anyone else thinking/dreaming about spring? I know it is a bit early but I started browsing Endless shoes and bags and came across these Marc by Marc Jacobs sandals that made me long for spring. These are original Marc Jacobs shoes so the price tag of $349.95 shouldn’t be a surprise. I love the…

  • Holiday Flats

Most women spend more time on their feet during the holidays and while we seem to have an affinity to beautiful but painful heeled shoes there are many flat versions out there that are not only comfortable but but dressy and fashionable too. Here are a few of my favorite flat shows with the holidays…

  • Cut-Out Boots

I fell in love with these when they hit my inbox. Strangely the photo there was more of a purple underlay while the site photos look more reddish. Love them either way. These, to me, are decadent boots. First because of the price — yes, I consider $260 pretty decadent. Secondly, I would not want…

  • Thigh High Boots

Thigh high boots seem to be the order for this season. High (up the leg, not the heel) and suede. Unfortunately finding a thigh high boot for plus size women need, is incredibly difficult. I found three pairs I really liked at Shoes.com with a 15 ½” circumference: The Sam Edelman’s come in black, brown, and…
