Gabby’s Look at BET Awards
Recently actress “Gabby” Sidibe appeared on the red carpet at the BET Awards in a geometric type dress:
She’s such a cutie. If you saw her and loved the dress you can get it in it’s original form from Sydney’s Closet. I say in it’s original form because the dress is actually sleeveless. The Good Times Roll dress is available in sizes 18 to 32 for $179 (upper sizes are $20 more).
Personally, I like the sleeveless look better, something about the added sleeves just doesn’t look right, maybe it’s the placement of the pattern. I wonder if a black shrug would have made a difference. Like this one from Igigi, $52:
One of the great things about seeing Gabby out and about and in fashions the average girl can get is that larger women can see that big girls can have fun and look beautiful doing it.

Gabby’s eye makeup is always so fierce.
I have to agree with you on this Moe… I love the dress but prefer the sleeveless look. The shrug as it’s used by Gaby here just does not work. I think it was meant to be used more as a shawl, rather than a shrug.
