Plus Size Swimwear

Depending on where you live there is still at least a month or more left of warm weather. August is a great month for swimwear shopping. One of my favorite shops has always been Always for Me — it’s half presentation and half style. If you are wanting to stay on trend into your swimwear then there are four hot trends to look for and Always for Me has them all
Ruffles are hot, hot, hot. Designers want to put them on everything from clothing, to handbags, to footwear, and of course swimwear. They soften, they disguise, they detract and still manage to be fun and sexy. A perfect example of a subtle ruffle in use is the Always for Me Chic Isabella two piece (love the ruffle, love the ruching, love the colors):

Both large and small prints are hot this year but the most striking are the swimsuits with exotic flavor matched with details to flatter our curves. One of my favorites is the Always for Me Secret Garden (love the bandeau twist and shirring):

You’ve all heard of the must have black dress, well the swimsuit version is not black it’s brown. Always for Me has a few styles that offer brown as a color option but one of my favorites is the Illusion Suit (love the peek-a-boo ring, shirring, and elongated waist):

Spots are one of may favorite patterns, period. Put them on clothing, put them on shoes and definitely put them on swimwear. These large dots give this swimsuit a retro look that is very sexy when combined with the removable strap and peek ring. My favorite is the Always For Me Chic Negril Twist Bandeau (it looks like two pieces but it’s really one):

Don’t forget the sunscreen and a wide brim hat!

  1. Guess it depends on who you are, but to me spots and loud prints always make me feel larger then I am – and the ruffles stuff again something that I’ve found doesn’t help in a slimming look, but I think it also depends on where you carry the weight and the style and fit of the clothing in general.
Wish there was more selections at times for plus size clothing and that it was within reason for costing to get, instead of costing in most cases twice as much as regular non-plus size clothing.
