Beth Ditto Take II

American songstress Beth Ditto released her first line of plus size clothing with Evans UK last year. It was met with both positive and negative reviews from both sides of the pond. Like Beth the clothing was very edgy and not for everyone. There were a number of pieces I loved from the line and some that I knew were just too wild for my personality.
This week Beth Ditto’s second like with Evans will be released (shopping starts Friday). Once again the line is edgy and fashion forward with a hint of retro flair. One of the things I love about it are all the dots. It’s a very dark line but I’m hoping they will add some more colorful pieces as the season moves on. In the time being here is a peek at my favorite pieces from the Beth Ditto line:

Beth Ditto Plus Size Clothing

  • The floral print denim skirt is the same style as last year with just a different pattern. I love the idea of the elastic along the sides and back of waist. It comes in sizes 14 to 32 for £35. I’d wear it with the heart sweater and silver Mary Janes.
  • The heart lurex short cardigan is so cute. Sweet hearts and cropped, very retro. It comes in sizes 14 to 32 for £39.50. I’d wear it with the denim skirt and Mary Janes.
  • The black and ivory longline top looks more like a dress. I’d wear it with dark tights and the silver Mary Janes. It comes in sizes 14 to 32 for £37.
  • The black knitted hooded cape is comfy looking with a interesting waist detailing. It comes in sizes 14 to 32 for s to xl for £45. Would go great with the skirt or the dress.
  • The silver mary janes might be my absolute favorite. Love this style and the color rocks. They come in sizes 4 to 10 for £45.

  • Shoes with Prints

One of the hottest trends for shoes this spring and summer is prints. I have not fully embraced this trend but am not totally against it either. I guess like a pattern top it comes down to finding the right pattern — not every print is a winner — and not every print is for…

  • Gray from Igigi

I’m a huge fan of gray. I’ve had three gray vehicles I like it so much. When it comes to clothing, to me, gray is like black, it’s a great backdrop for decorating upon (hello accessories!). In the office it also helps break up the boredom of the black suit. This season Igigi likes gray…

  • Cool Cotton Eyelet

OOOOOOOOOO… that is me groaning about the heat and humidity we are experiencing today. It is so hot out there the dog comes in on her own for a break. Last night the power was out because of wicked lightening storm(s). I think from here on out all my selections will be comfy and cool….

  • Two-in-One Ruffles

Igigi has a lot of new dresses being released this month. I absolutely love this Georgia “Two-in-One” Dress. It looks like two pieces but is actually one. The ruffled neckline and Dolman sleeves are a flattering change. And pencil skirts are so classic and sexy. This baby comes in sizes 12 to 30 for $188….
