Just My Size Hosts Plus-Size Fashion Show in NYC
A few weeks ago I was invited to a blogger symposium by Just My Size (JMS); unfortunately, I didn’t have my travel documents in order and couldn’t attend. I was very disappointed; first, I’d be missing out on what JMS was offering and second because I’d be missing the opportunity to talk shop with some of my favorite plus size fashion bloggers.

The Holiday Collection
During the event JMS unveiled its holiday collection as well as some spring and summer fashions. Plus size models were in attendance showing off their affordable (everything below $25) and fashionable styles including one of my favorite, Mia Amber. Ta da!

Just My Size is not a new company. They are owned by Hanesbrands Inc. and have been in operation for twenty-five years. In my opinion they have always been the go to place for affordable bras. But ever since the unveiling of their new fashion conscious and extremely affordable line last year, along with their partnership with Walmart (you can shop for JMS online at their official website or at your local Walmart) they have grown to become one of the nations top plus size clothing brands for every day, business, and entertainment wear. Their primary sizes are 1x to 4x but they also carry a small selection of extended sizes for 5x and 6x which is still extremely affordable (under $32).
Fashion Show Highlights
The plus size models that strutted their stuff owned the stage. Here are just a few of the highlights!

The director and general manager for JMS said, “At JMS, our focus is on delivering great style designed exclusively for the plus-size woman at an unbelievable value,” and I have to agree. I had the opportunity to review some of their pieces from the holiday line last year and I was impressed by the quality, style, and price points.
Things to watch for this season and into the next:
- animal print tops
- sleek jeggings
- embossed velvet boyfriend shirts
- long knit sweater coats
- more maxi dresses
- a new version of the Little Black Dress
- military inspired tunics and cargo capris
One of the things I like about the JMS website is you don’t feel like they are constantly carrying the same items. Every eight weeks they are updating their styles. And they are all designed for the plus size woman, not regular sizes extended to fit a plus size form. They are becoming a one stop shop for bras, panties, hosiery, outerwear, activewear, jeans, tops, career wear and more.

JMS Fashion Show
And here is a short video of the models getting ready before the fashion show and strutting their stuff in JMS fashions:
awww man I would have loved to meet you in NYC! When I come to Canada next year we will have to hang out.
Your pictures are great, all the models look fantastic. So nice to see full figured women looking gorgeous in new fashions!
I really love the red jacket, it’s so stylish!
It’s nice to see the models looking like they’re having a great time for a change. Usually it’s the “I hate you” face on a typical runway
