Owls Have It
There’s a growing fascination of owls in fashion whether it be an owl cocktail ring, or a steampunk necklace, or a knitted cardigan. But most importantly they are in prints. One of my favorites is (of course) is from Threadless.

It is printed on light blue (not the same blue shown here) and is available up to size 2x. Yes, another 2x. I wasn’t happy with this either so I emailed them yesterday and actually got a response back.
“Thanks for emailing. Unfortunately, we’ve had to cut back on XS and 3XL sizes. Since releasing XS and 3XL sizes, there hasn’t been the demand for them that we anticipated. Additionally, the larger and smaller tees required additional, costlier printing screens and the stock has been difficult to get since some of our suppliers have cut back on XS and 3XL stock due to the economic climate. We’re planning to print the XS and 3XL sizes when the t-shirt stock is available and where it makes sense. Sorry for any inconvenience!”
Personally, I think that is an inadequate excuse and really, who gets to decide “when it makes sense”. So listen up 3x-ers. Go to Threadless find a shirt you like and if they don’t have your size email them to let them know, “I would have made a purchase but you didn’t have my size!”. And if it is in 3x then buy it!

Hmm…. interesting that they mention XS as well. I’d be interested to have someone verify their comment by looking for an XS in the store. I can’t tell if this makes it more justifiable (it’s not just larger sizes, but smaller sizes, too), or if the person writing the email is just hoping it to sound that way. All in all… interesting!
