My favorite pattern for clothing is houndstooth (I actually love it in accent chairs too). Houndstooth, or Dog Tooth (UK), has come in and out of favor for decades. I was actually beginning to think that houndstooth was extinct but it looks like it might be rolling back in to fashion.
