What did your parents do for a living? Growing up did you respect their profession? Do you respect it more now that you are older? Did you follow in their footsteps? Why or why not? Did what they do affect how you chose your career? Are they proud of your career choice?
Make a list in your journal about ten reasons why you think “the church” is important in society and the home. If you don’t believe this then journal from the perspective of someone who does. Later today work on the opposite view.
In the coming weeks we will see the rebirth of spring and all its offerings. Imagine being able to start fresh every year. If you could be reborn into a new you how would you like to begin. Don’t think in terms of all the things you would miss out on if you hadn’t lived…
Today explore your personality and who you are. List as many adjectives as you can to describe yourself. Don’t whip out a handful and quit; go for at least fifty. When it becomes hard force yourself to do at least ten more. Even use a thesaurus if you have to.
Journal about your relationship with technology. Include at least five things you love about it and five things you don’t.
Write about the number of siblings in your family; specifically about your placement as the youngest, middle or oldest child. If you are an only child write about the advantages or disadvantages of being an only child (or whether you grew up craving siblings).
