Neck Tie Blouses

They are retro, they are feminine, and this fashion trend is showing up everywhere from runways to movies. I think Sarah Jessica Parker will probably turn them into a rave with her latest movie (I Don’t Know How She Does It) where she definitely sports at least one neck tie blouse.

The neck-tie blouse, also called secretary blouses or pussy bow blouses, can be worn with skirts, with dress pants, with jeans, layered under vests and cardigans, tucked in, left out or with a thin belt. Endless possibilities. Here are a few of my favorite plus size neck tie blouses (my absolute favorites are three and four because they have the longest ties — the longer the better):

• One and three are  from ASOS Curve and are available in sizes 20 to 26 for £30.
• Two and four are from Nordstrom. The lipstick shade is by DKNYC and the vicuna is by Vince Camuto. Both are available in sizes 1x to 3x for $99 to $110.
• And the sleeveless neck tie top is from Ashley Stewart in sizes 12 to 26 for $25.

If you do not want to buy one raid your mom’s closet, she probably has one in there. Or visit your local vintage and second hand store.
