Bowed Flats

When it comes to bowed flats the choices are endless which means a woman should definitely have the basic black to go with everything but should also have some fun with colors and prints. Flats can be worn with dress socks and trousers, sockless with leggings or jeans, with tights and skirts, or pretty much anything in between. They also change seasons easily.
Here are a few of my favorite basic blacks mixed in with ten fun bowed flats with patterns, texture or color blocked:

All the featured flats are from Zappos, here’s the low down on brands and costs from left to right:

  • Blowfish Scoodle, $39 — love the pleats. Also comes in awesome metallic.
  • Libby Edelman Kendra, $69 — the cheetah/blush is my fave combination but comes in others. The pink bow is a lovely contrast to animal print.
  • Mia Sophie, $32 — it is nice to sparkle once in a while.
  • Joan & David Kallista, $180 — lipstick red patent mixed with an interesting perforation.
  • Rocket Dog Marilu, $38 — love the white dots with navy.
  • Fitzwell Bridget, $65 — Fancy color blocked shoe with fine dots on bone. Excellent with trousers.
  • Madden Girl Dezzy, $40 — Love grey, love black, love flannel, love them all together!
  • Vaneli Selby, $115 — Understated black leather to go with everything.
  • Betsey Johnson Tammiee, $64 — Lots of texture going on to make these shoes a focal point.
  • Rocket Dog Memories, $45 — I cannot get enough of black and white houndstooth. Perfect fall pattern. Also comes in many other solid colors.
  • Beverly Feldman Here to Flats, $180 — Flat shoes with sequins rock! They are not just for partying.
  • Rockport Faye Flat Bow Ballet, $100 — Croc embossed leather never goes out for long.
  • Ralph Lauren Amariss 2, $69 — Cannot get enough plaid this season, the picnic plaid is incredibly cute for casual day.

  • Cut-Out Boots

I fell in love with these when they hit my inbox. Strangely the photo there was more of a purple underlay while the site photos look more reddish. Love them either way.
