Holiday Flats

Most women spend more time on their feet during the holidays and while we seem to have an affinity to beautiful but painful heeled shoes there are many flat versions out there that are not only comfortable but but dressy and fashionable too. Here are a few of my favorite flat shows with the holidays in mind from Zappos. The good thing about flats is that they come in prices for pretty much any budget. Many of these also have the option wide widths if you need them.
As you can see I tend to lean toward three colors, black, red, purple and anything with sparkle.

  • Ros Hommerson Muriel in black, $68
  • Michael Kors MK14061 in golden, $198
  • Annie Geneva in purple velvet suede, $50
  • Blowfish Naina in red superfly cord, $40
  • Kate Spade New York Elise in old gold crinkle metal suede, $124

For some reason I am especially attracted to silver this year. It must be part of my whole grey-ish addiction.

  • Not Your Ordinary Ugg

When it comes to Uggs, people either love them or hate them. For the most part the image that comes to mind is the suede bootie style lined with sheepskin but Ugg makes a whole line of fashionable footwear to whet any fashion diva’s appetite for more shoes from sneakers to boots. I am actually…

  • Fall for Uggs

I know it’s early (and two shoe posts in one week, wth) for most of us to start thinking about warm boots with all this humidity but UGG Australia has a new line of fall Uggs ready to keep us warm when the need arrives. Out of the twenty-nine or so styles they have available…

  • Ugg Slippers and Boots

As I sit here with my cold toes in my old slippers I can’t help but dream of them being slipped into a pair of sheepskins from Ugg. Like these plush lovelies from Nordstrom (the Rylan is my favorite), all $99.95: While I was there checking out slippers I became enamored with the new boot…

I love espadrilles in summer. This pair of Corso Como Women’s Roz Espadrille. The traditional jute looking heel, the open pattern and of course… RED! I am new to Corso Como but apparently they are on the eco-friendly bandwagon toting that “all shoes are made in eco-friendly factories using naturally tanned leathers and recyclable boxes…

  • Flats are Back

Even though women still love their heels, flats are back with a vengeance for another season and our feet are sure to appreciate them. I love these pair of Plaid Ballet Flats (522171) I found at Old Navy yesterday. The reason I like them is the plaid is so subtle, like me. They don’t look…
