Plus Size Mannequins
I had a fun visit to Penningtons this weekend. While I visit the website often I do not get to walk through their doors on a regular basis. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the prettiest plus size mannequins ever, and lots of them. The sales associate told me they have had them for about three months. They are fabulous, giving us a better idea of how their clothing fits. I was also thrilled to see that they used so many of them. I took a bunch of pictures with my husband’s Blackberry because I did not think to bring a camera.
So what do you think? Do larger mannequins make your shopping experience easier?

I love plus size mannequins – it’s so nice to see how a top will fit without it being pinned in the back to fit the regular size models. Although I do wish they had faces and hair. I find them kind of creepy without any features.
I was wondering how would you go about finding the manufacturer of these mannequins. I am opening a plus size boutique and would love these in my store.
I imagine this company was contracted to create a specific company image design that would not be available elsewhere. If you do a search for plus size mannequins a few companies come up although in my opinion they are more on the lower end of the plus size spectrum than the ones shown here. But still plus size and better than the traditional mannequin. Sorry I could not be more helpful. Good luck in your search and with your new boutique.
