Dip Tops

I realize some of you really detest the dip tops but I absolutely love them. I have always hated that slight gap between tops and pants if you stretch, bend over or reach up. Dip tops totally do away with that. One of my favorites which also happens to be blue (Slub Jersey Dip Back Top, $45) is from ASOS Curve.
ASOS knows the true meaning of a dip top going no holds barred. A few weeks ago I expressed my love for another dip shirt they had (they have also had dresses):

ASOS is not the only one to get into the dipping process but I tend to see them more at UK retailers at the moment although I did find a few moderately dipped tops in my search. Here is a dipped cardigan ($40) from Ashley Stewart and a very lightly striped sweatshirt dipped tee ($50) from Lane Bryant.

Simply Be even has two packs (love two pack shirts, makes me feel all economical) of dipped tanks ($35) and dipped tees ($42). The tanks are more dipped than the tees but aren’t those pockets cute?:

Let’s have it, are you for or against dip tops and why?

    70s Inspired Pleats

One of the hottest trends this season is mini pleats. It’s part of that whole retro kick that we seem to be heading into whether we want to or not. I actually like this trend, from a non-hog-wild perspective anyway. One of two pieces are more than enough to satisfy the desire. When I started…

  • Belted or Not?

It seems like a huge trend with sweaters this season is belting them even on plus size fashionistas (Why should we be deprived of belt love afterall). Whether they are thick belts or thin belts and whether they are lightweight sweaters or chunky cardigans — it seems to be hot. So hot, in fact, that…
