Two scents permeate my memories of fall growing in Westwood: apples and cinnamon. When you grow up in an apple belt nothing is too strange when it comes to apples. Sure there is the corner stone of apple pie but we always took it further with apple cider, apple butter, apple crisp, apple jam, apple chutney, apple barbecue sauce, and one of my favorites, apple beer.
