Continue On Saturdays Writing Prompt
The gist of it is simple. I give you the start of a line/story and you continue on. This week:
My date with Luanne Wallace was my first since my wife Alice died. She was sitting behind a dump truck at a stop light when an elderly woman had a stroke and rammed into the back of her car.
If she had been sitting upright with her seatbelt on she probably would have survived. She had dropped her phone onto the passenger side floor and had removed her seatbelt to lean over and get it. I know this because she had been talking to me at the time.
Luanne was a petite woman who wore red lipstick and matching nail polish. The heels of her shoes were higher than any woman could possibly wear comfortable. Her personality was bubbly and forthright and it was easy to …
