The Sweater Dress

One of the things I really appreciate when it gets colder are sweaters, sweaters of all kinds, and even sweater dresses. While there are many ways to wear a plus size sweater dress I prefer them looser then belted with opaque tights and tall boots. How do you like to wear your sweater dresses?
Avenue has quite a few pretty ones at the moment (all on sale below $40). Here are my favorites:

For me the perfect features of the ultimate sweater dress would include: medium weight knit with texture (not necessarily cables), a-line skirt (I just find the extra fabric warmer), below the knee, a loose neck, cowl or pseudo-neckline, and at least 3/4 length sleeves but the longer the better. What features do you like in your sweater dresses?

  1. I have a love-hate relationship with sweater dresses. I think they are sexy and easy to wear, but I’ve yet to find one to really flatters my apple shape and I don’t wear spanx or girdles. (Although I’m thinking it might be time to start.).
