The Perfect Shrug

The hottest pieces this summer seem to be sleeveless or cami style dresses and tops. Unfortunately not all of us are comfortable showing off our arms 24/7 or we live and work in an environment where the temperature is constantly changing because of air conditioning inside (and some really do like it colder than others) and the humidity outside.
This is where layering, which is pretty much a must winter, spring, summer or fall these days, comes into play. And with Lane Bryant’s Elbow Sleeve Shrug, “playing” is so much more fun.
plus size shrugs from Lane Bryant
I absolutely love this little Elbow Sleeve Shrug which comes in nine different colors! My favorite colors are vivid blue, true red, french khaki, gold, and the basic black and white. So many colors so many opportunities for matching with items in your wardrobe. I really like how it looks more like a cropped cardigan than the average shrug. It comes in dual sizes from 14/16 to 26/28. I am not quite sure why but there is a variance in price: $39.95 to $44.95.

When it comes to Lane Bryant they have been the worst offenders for suppling the most hideous plus size print tops. I noticed an improvement last season. And this season I’ve fallen in love with many of their black and white print tops. Beginning bottom left and clockwise: the Contemporary warm-weather sweater is $64.50 (sizes…

    Oversized Tunic

Love it! The KYOTO TUNIC and capri leggings (full length too) that is. All they need are some flats. The tunic would look equally sweet with skinny black jeans (Calvin Klein, $45), suede boots (Torrid, $68), and cinched at the waist with an obi belt (Etsy, $38). If you love it too you can find…

    Simple and Affordable

Some times it is not all about being fashionable. Some times it’s about pulling on a comfortable pair of pants and a shirt and running out to pick up someone or drop something at the post. 1. I love the colors of these shrugs. They are bright and right for any sunny day. I think by wearing this one can not only boost own self confidence but also brighten others up 🙂

  2. Great post. Great sleeveless dresses have left me out in the past. A great shrug, especially metallic coloration, could go a long way.

  3. It’s interesting how they all look different when the color is different. Great purchase for sure
