Short Boots from Frye

I never liked short boots  until last year when I needed a low heeled boot and all the ones I found were short. I wore them like crazy until I had to replace them this season with a slightly taller but still in essence short boot. Although I think the new ones are sexier. To give you an idea what the old ones  looked like, my husband used to call them my McCoy boots (as in the original Star Trek). It’s so true. One of the good things about short boots for plus size women is that it takes less of the worry out of calf size that comes with a tall boot. Anyway, I’m finding my love of short boots keeps growing. Some of my favorite ones can be found at the Frye Company. As you can see there is a pretty consistent theme I like; western, military, work and motorcycle.

  6. Sabrina 6G Lace Up*, $248

The BCBGirls Esther Sandal redesigns the gladiator look with these thick strappy heels but my favorite feature is the zipper up the back of the heel. These BCBGirls shoes come from Macy’s and are available in sizes 5 to 10 for $118. *** Topic Links * Get your own Esther Sandals from BCBGirls

Shoe love runs high among women from varying educational and socioeconomic backgrounds. some of us like spiky heels, some like spikes on the shoes, some dance in their flats, while others while away the hours in their clogs. 1. I love a lower-heeled boot. Saves on the back pain and great for those of us with foot and knee issues. Glad to see they are in right now.
