Lace Underthings (and Sometimes Overthings)

Thanks to Sarah at Style It Online for letting me know about this excellent layering piece from Hanky Panky. It’s hard to find long sleeve tops with a high neckline that are all one piece. Sarah wore it under a dress that would be virtually unwearable this time of the year and it looked perfect (see link below). This is a versatile piece that can be worn under fancy dresses or with a corset and jeans or under the trendy boyfriend jacket. Black would be the best but Hanky Panky also has it in a lovely angora red, chai, granite, and white in sizes 1x to 3x for $62 (although, I’m not impressed that the regular version is $14 less. A few dollars difference I can accept but I doubt there is and extra $14 of fabric than the regular sizes). On the bright side they have free ground shipping within US until 2011.

    Lane Bryant Week

    70s Inspired Pleats

One of the hottest trends this season is mini pleats. It’s part of that whole retro kick that we seem to be heading into whether we want to or not. I actually like this trend, from a non-hog-wild perspective anyway. One of two pieces are more than enough to satisfy the desire. When I started…

  1. I’m totally with you on charging $14 less on the smaller size.
    Give me a break.
They are catering to larger sizes on the one side and discriminating against them on the other.
    It does look good however
