Seven January Prompts

January feels like the longest month of the winter. It is cold, damp and dark. A perfect time to get some writing done.

Here are some writing prompts to make you think about something else. woman in mitts

Day One: Write about someone who’s birthday is in January.

Day Two: Describe a homeless person spending a day like today outside.

Day Three: Use the following 10 words to write about a woman named Susan: trophy, fish, blanket, bus, window, helmet, glasses, Brazil, candle, skydiving.

Day Four: Do you wear white in winter? Why or why not?

Day Five: Long hair or short hair?

Day Six: The man in the red cap fell off his bike. Write about the man, his bike and why he fell.

Day Seven: I love…
