Spring at Penningtons

Penningtons has few good promotions on this week and I had the opportunity to pop in and take a look around. Honestly, the stuff in the look books looks so much better in the books. The price points seemed a bit high for the quality of clothing I was looking at. Unfortunately this is not the only store I’m seeing this at. They have also gone overboard on the military/khaki trend. There was practically half a wall of green and beige. And once again, too many fooler tops.

That being said, I did find a couple pieces that I really liked (especially the tiered top in the center which is perfect for layering). Sizes are 1x to 4x and prices range from $19 to $60.

It’s hard to believe there are still a lot of sleeveless and short sleeved items in the shops right now but there’s a good reason for it. They make excellent layering pieces and layering is where fashion is at right now (nothing new for Canadians). Like this Short Sleeve Deep V-neck top from Addition-Elle. It…

  • Mademoiselle Style

Igigi just released the Mademoiselle Jacket ($132) which looks incredible with their Tailored Pencil Skirt. This takes plus size career wear to a whole new level of sophistication. The jacket would look equally smashing with wide legged dress pants (closed or open with a cami top). Don’t forget the Triple Buckle Belt in Black Matte…
