Lane Bryant Week – Dresses

I have never been so into dresses as I have been this past year. It is almost like I discovered my inner girl. Although I’ve always been into make-up and nail polish. So maybe it is the rebirth of the inner girl. As you may have guessed it is dress day during our Lane Bryant week.
I have had an ongoing love for three types of dresses: wrap dresses, shirt dresses, and maxi dresses. In the past I have not had much luck finding more than one or two dresses at Lane Bryant but I was lucky today and found a whole five including my three types. All dresses from Lane Bryant are available in sizes 14 to 28.
This pink hibiscus Sleeveless Pleated Neck Dress ($70) is definitely my favorite of favorites. Love the pleats, love the belt, love the wrap and totally dig the color. I am still totally dumbfounded by side zippers though. The Short Sleeve Mix Print Dress ($70) looks like a wrap dress without being one. I love the black and white pattern and cuffed sleeves.

I feel like screaming “Where’s my Easter bonnet?!” when I see this dress. It’s so pretty and is rocking the ruffles but without being overbearing. Perfect for special brunches and weddings.

My skin tone would never allow me to wear this mandarin red Belted Canvas Shirtdress but I absolutely love the color. It has a bit of a military / prison look to it so fine accessories are a must to bring out its best features.

I was pretty disappointed at the maxi dress selection at Lane Bryant. Unless the models are exceptionally tall, the dresses were not really maxi dresses at all. The longest one was this Smocked Maxi Dress by DKNY JEANS ($79) in dusty olive. I do not know why but I love smocking in full bust like this or in the couple inch waist accents. I want to pair this dress with a cropped denim jacket and some glads but mostly I just want to lounge around the house in it barefoot.
