Two Looks One Dress

When is a floral pattern too much? Whenever you think it is! That does not mean you need to give up on them. Here are a few ideas to break up the floral pattern of a cute floral dress so you do not feel like a walking couch or worse retro wallpaper. In a few instances I created two different looks with same dress.

White and Floral

One of my favorite ways to wear floral dresses is with neutral accessories. Pair a pretty floral dress with a solid colored cardigan and handbag of the same color. Then finish it off with some eye popping pumps. A perfect low key look for the office. I absolutely love this Floral Sundress With Belt ($70), from Lane Bryant, either alone or with the cute Ruffled Cropped Cardigan ($45) which is also available in bright coral and electric blue. When the day gets warmer you can remove it and wear it preppy style across your back with the arms tied at your chest. Paired with the white Top Zip Shoulder Bag by Derek Alexander Leather ($120) it helps break up the the large fabric view. The Patent Cork Wedge Sandals in formula red ($50) finish off the look with another splash of color. Or if you are totally against red shoes try the RSVP Rella in Turquoise Patent ($45) from Zappos.

Studs and Floral

My other favorite way to wear floral dresses is to provide some contrast is by including another hot trend — studs. The Passion Flower Chiffon Dress ($68) is from Torrid. Add a Black Silver-Studded Crystal Gem Belt ($24), black Dollhouse Booties ($64), Buckle Up Clutch Purse with Studs ($41) and some silver bangles ($15). A perfect fun look for lunch out with your BFF.

Two Looks One Dress

Initially this is the dress I wanted to work with but I could not find all the pieces in one shop — it is also incredibly hard to find nude cardigans.ย  The Flower Chiffon Layered Bandeau Dress (ยฃ40) is from ASOS Curve. The Cropped Dolman Cardigan ($28) is from Forever 21, the fringe Big Buddha Ray Handbag ($77) is from Zappos, and the red shoes are from Lane Bryant.

Here is the Asos dress again with the accessories from Torrid, providing two completely fun looks with one dress:

Lacy tops and lacy dresses are the call of order this season. When I say cute, I do not mean Hello Kitty cute. I guess I probably mean sweet, more than cute but I tend to use the words interchangeably. Long story short, here are a few cute but sweet tops from ASOS Curve’s new arrivals. The long sleeved Tee With Heart Balloon Girl Print is right…

  • The Sweater Dress

One of the things I really appreciate when it gets colder are sweaters, sweaters of all kinds, and even sweater dresses.
