Warm Up with Spring Tops

What? Spring? I know, I know, you have not even celebrated happy heart day. But as I am sitting here enjoying the freezing rain and snow, I remembered Babe Hope (Ulla Popken blogger) sent me the Summer lookbook for Ulla Popken. While I am not nearly ready for summer temperatures I did find some favorite plus size spring tops I wanted to share with you, something to look forward to in the coming months.
plus size spring tops from Ulla Popken

  • Embroidered Pintuck Tunic – I actually do not have anything embroidered but I love this boho top. Sizes 12 to 34 for $69.
  • Striped Swing Sweater – Swing and irregular anything are still high on my list of likes. I also love stripes (the anti-stripe people should love that they are not horizontal). Sizes 12 to 34 for $69.
  • Sequin Swing Tunic – You can’t see from this picture but there is a thick band of sequins along the backside of the color. The back is so often ignored. Sizes 12 to 34 for $69.
  • Knit Seamed Pocket Jacket – Forget the boyfriend blazer, I love the relaxed fit and shawl collar. Sizes 12 to 38 for $74
  • Beaded Jewel Print Tunic – Love pink and grey together and the large jewels on the split neckline are a nice touch. Sizes 12 to 34 for $79.

I guess you can kind of tell I am still in cold weather mode since all my favorites are long sleeves!

  • The Long Cardi

Cardis are a must have layering piece for fall. Most of them seem to be the irregular or shark tooth design which I love but you can only take so much irregular hems. Which is why I love plus size designer Anna Scholz’s Silk Cotton Draw String Cardi. It has a convertible look allowing you…

    Ways To Wear

I was immediately attracted to this Ways To Way outfit in Evans spring look book. I want the whole outfit and I want it now and I want the weather to coincide with me wearing it. I know, asking a lot. But for some reason this outfit so fits my personality right now. Simple, comfortable…

  • White As A Sheet

I spent most of my life being white as a sheet and being commented to about it. I don’t really care any more since white is in again and when the wrinkles start to really roll around I will be blessed with looking younger. When I saw this new t-shirt from Threadless (I never get…

  • Belted or Not?

It seems like a huge trend with sweaters this season is belting them even on plus size fashionistas (Why should we be deprived of belt love afterall). Whether they are thick belts or thin belts and whether they are lightweight sweaters or chunky cardigans — it seems to be hot. So hot, in fact, that…

  • Union Jack Tops

Having the Olympics in London has made the Union Jack a little trendier than usual, even now that the games are overs. I have always liked it on tees and messengers bags. Of course you can get a simple version at Yours Clothing: But Lane Bryant also has a cute one I like (and a…
