Are you superstitious? Why or why not? In your journal list all the things you are superstitious about. For the next week spend some journaling time exploring how you became superstitious about each one. If you are not superstitious explore some of the reasons why some people become superstitious and others do not.
Journal for fifteen minutes about three competitions that should not have been in the summer Olympics (and three that should have). OR if you watched the closing ceremonies journal about which bands should have been featured but were not and why you think they should have been featured. Who should not have performed?
In your journal explore your spiritual faith by dividing your life into stages (this may be more writing for some than others depending on how old you are right now) — grade school, teenager, young adult, parent, retired, senior. If you haven’t reached a stage yet reflect on what your spiritual faith would be like.

Write in your journal about thunderstorms and how they make you feel. Include a descriptive of a day you remember in particular that stands out because of the thunderstorms. Include your first recollection of a thunderstorm as a child and how you reacted and were consoled (if needed).
